Jason, hope you're having fun at the CODEX conference! I just watched "The Book Makers" documentary film a few weeks ago, which was the first time I'd heard about it. Interesting news that Jay Pasachoff's collection is being prepared for sale. He taught astronomy at my undergraduate college -- many cool stories about him -- but I assume this means that the rare books he had left on deposit in Chapin Library at Williams will no longer be there? And his first edition De revolutionibus will also be on the auction block for (sob!) slightly more than my pocket money budget?

Jay produced so many interesting students! My boss is also a Williams alumna. Yes, the books which were on deposit at Williams for his teaching use are now here in New York—including Copernicus. If you drop me an email, I will give you more updates (and I can also mail you a Copernicus sticker).

Thanks! I will rummage through our couch cushions again to see if enough additional loose change emerges to possibly finance a De rev purchase, but failing that I'd love to hear any updates on that copy and/or add to my Copernicus-related souvenirs collection. :-) Will drop you a note.
